Biography

Hello friends!

We’ve been singing for seniors for over 30 years. We’ve traveled from Maine to Florida, Tucson to Seattle, Denver to Salt Lake City, and many places in-between. We’ve entertained folks in assisted and independent living, memory care, health & rehab communities, and individual residents in their rooms.

We were both raised in Annapolis, MD on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay and met the first day of high school where Margie excelled in orchestra and language arts, while Rick excelled at being a nerdy math and science guy who lacked confidence with the ladies. Thanks to a thing called ‘assigned seating’, Margie was blessed to sit next to Rick for an entire year in Chemistry class, which led to a lifelong friendship and love affair. We married in December of 1984.

We have two wonderful children, a son and a daughter, who are all grown up and out conquering the world. We left Maryland for Nashville, TN in 2010 so Rick could become a songwriter. But, unfortunately, he couldn’t even get a job as a waiter, which led us to move to Florida in 2011. It was there that we began to sing together full-time and have never looked back. Along the way, we’ve lived in Kansas, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, and North Carolina. For about six years, we were full-time Vanlifers out of South Dakota, traveling the Great American West, doing our shows in different cities and camping in the most remote places possible. When Covid hit and all our shows were canceled, we were blessed to find work as hotel managers in Rapid City and Spearfish, SD, and then in Bryson City and Spruce Pine, NC. We were also assistant managers at an Independent Living Community near Charlotte. We have now settled in West Virginia to be closer to our son and daughter-in-law, who have blessed us with our first grandbaby!

We hope you enjoy our programs and would appreciate any feedback you might offer. Please feel free to spread the word about us and give our web address ‘RickandMargie.com’ to anyone who would enjoy what we do.

Happy Trails!
